I want to thank all that came to honor Sissy and can't say in words how much I  appreciate each and every one of you that help and gave more than their life saving blood you gave a part of your heart at Christa's annual Blood Drive Jan. 22 2010!!!
Christa Burchett that was killed in the line of duty Jan. 22, 2008; NOON-6pm at PAINTSVILLE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL GYM.  The Blood Drive begins at noon and ends at 6pm and the Memorial Service starts at 7pm also in PAINTSVILLE ELEM. SCHOOL GYM.
On the morning of January 22, 2008, Christa responded to a call for help from a young mother-to-be who had lost control of her car on an icy road. She rushed to the scene in an ambulance and was helping the young woman to get into the ambulance. At the same moment a tractor-trailer loaded with coal began sliding on the highway and hit Christa and the mother-to-be.  The mother was killed on impact. Christa died at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center in Paintsville at 10:04 a.m.
Christa’s name and legacy will live on through the lives and people she has touched. Christa left too early and not a day goes by that her family and friends don’t think of her and miss her dearly.  Christa left behind a beautiful daughter Olivia Burchett (16), who had to grow up way to soon.  Being left without a mother at such as young age, has changed her life forever.

Olivia says you are there in her room all the time tickeling her on the bottom of her foot to wake her just like you did when you was here wth her. She hear you call her name and turns to answer you, she has a picture of you laying on her bed that just showed up in a picture she was just taken of her and a friend. Dad gets up all through the day to go she you as he see you in to the kitchen or dinning room... So we do know and thank you for walking with us every day we know you watch over us. Sissy it is Memorial Day again without you we are spending togather at Mamaws. We have the grill all ready for the cookout today the pool is full and the float for Arlie waiting for him to get here to play in, the outside games are ready to play. Olivia enjoyed outside yesterday with the pool, slippyslide, sidewalk calk and just spending time at mamaws like she always did growing up with you, you were always here at moms for the hoildays and the weekend when you didnt have to work. The family time, the dinners we all had togather will always be such a part of her life. I hope as she grows up and has her own children she will bring her babies here to enjoy the life that I gave to you and bubby; that you and bubby has passed on to your kids and she will pass on to hers. I love you so much it hurts inside my heart as I feel you gone from my life as you live the other life you are in now. Chris is has been 1 year 4 months 2 days 25 minutes since you left us to be with the Jesus, Mom and Dad. I can't tell you how bad I miss you and want you to be here instead of me to enjoy Olivia and baby Arlie like it is supose to be, I am the one that should be with mom and dad watching over all of you instead of you watching over us. I love you!

Sissy

Easter has came and gone without you with us. We had your favorite dinner turkey and dressing and all the trimmings. We spend the day together at mamaws just like you always have since you came into my life. No matter what was going on we always was together at mom's for all the holidays and you always enjoyed the dinners and the time spend together. Mother's Day is coming up and I don't get to spend mother's day with my mom or with you it is so hard because you are such a big part of my life every since I carried you just under my heart. I hope you, Mom and Dad had a great Easter together and watch us as we put up the new flag pole and placed the crosses on your resting place. And as we had dinner and the kids hunted the easter eggs, just like we always did when you all was here with us. I love you so much and I can't let you go.

Memories...

Christa was looking so forward to having a little nephew.  She couldn't wait til his arrival.  Talking about how she was gonna spoil him.  Luckly before she passed she got to help out on naming him, Arlie Joseph Lemaster.  She told her brother/ my husband that he needed a family name not the name he picked out..Ricochet Shooter(not really for sure how he  was gonna spell it).

Well, Christa passed away in Jan. and Arlie came into this world in April.  He would of loved his Aunt Christa.  I know she was in the delivery room that day watching over us.  I talk to Arlie Joe sometimes about her and he just looks around the room as if he sees her.  I know she is his Guardian Angel.  He will always know who she is and was..A TRUE HERO and his aunt that just couldn't wait on him.  One day he will get to meet her and she will meet him with open arms.

We love you Sis and miss you so very much!
